Supporting Caltech Students
Supporting Caltech Students
Since the Institute’s announcement that it would transition to online teaching for the spring term due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many members of the Caltech community have asked how they can help our students most affected by this crisis.
You can have significant, direct impact by supporting the areas below:
Undergraduate Financial Aid
As the impact of the current economic situation deepens, the Institute anticipates a significant increase in financial aid requests, especially as we move toward the next academic year. Gifts to this fund will ensure that top students have a place at Caltech, regardless of their financial means.
Graduate Fellowships
This fund ensures Caltech’s ability to advance discovery by recruiting the most promising graduate scholars. Using scientific and engineering solutions to solve the world’s most pressing problems—from COVID-19 to climate change to improved medical devices—has never been more important.
Fund for Student Wellness
During uncertain times like these, adjusting to new living and learning environments, the health and wellness of Caltech students remains a top priority. This fund helps underwrite counseling and other services focused on COVID-19 support as well as the overall health of our students when they do return to campus.
Student Emergency Fund
Gifts to this fund will address student financial needs that have been exacerbated during this crisis. Funds have already helped to support medical expenses, travel, technology required for remote learning, and housing.
